SEMINAR REPORT 2000

Message from Dr. Falguni K. Khariwala

“It gives me great happiness as we present this seminar. It is our first step in our endeavor ‘towards a better perception’. Throughout the journey from the starting of our ‘Classical Homoeopathic Research Centre’ to the formation of our educational trust ‘NYANGA’ it has been a pleasurable trip. On the way we have been immensely helped by many like-minded people and touched by their kindness and love. Without them we wouldn’t have reached so far. To name all of them would consume a lot of space and many have desired to serve anonymously. Flowing in this spirit we have decided not to charge for this seminar. Also all the remuneration that ‘Nyanga’ receives will go towards forming the corpus fund to realize the cause i.e. to disseminate and propagate advanced studies in ‘classical homoeopathy’.

I wish that this flame lights many lamps and brightens the path for all those who care to receive it.”

                                                          …Dr. Falguni K. Khariwala

THE MOST SOLID STONE IN THE STRUCTURE IS THE LOWEST ONE IN THE FOUNDATION.

To practice homoeopathy our foundation, the principles contained in our philosophy i.e. our ‘ORGANON’ should be strong. It is ‘ESSENSIAL’ OF HOMOEOPATHY and of a HOMOEOPATH.  So naturally the subject was ‘ORGANON’ around which the whole SEMINAR revolved-----bringing Organon ‘Alive’ being the main objective. Aphorism 84---one of the most vital aphorisms of Organon was discussed in detail.

DAY 1

On the first day morning Dr. Prasad put the whole audience into a beautiful rhythm------creating a peaceful, calm and quiet environment within and around them before going into the details of aph.  84. Various important aspects of it and what Dr. Hahnemann is actually trying to convey were discussed. The main aspects covered were ‘SILENCE’ and ‘LANGUAGE’.

He narrated a beautiful Zen story highlighting the importance of     ‘silence’… how vital it is for case receiving and perceiving the patient as an ‘individual’. ‘Silence is the spiritual aspect of homoeopathy as is the dynamis’… with various video illustrations he stressed how ‘speech is silver but silence is golden’.

In ‘language’--- the various ‘verbal and non-verbal expressions’ were discussed and how one’s individuality is expressed through the language he uses …was illustrated. He highlighted and supported this with educatively interesting clippings from the world of cinema…and then went on to the various video clippings supporting his views on verbal expressions…after which Dr. Falguni took over and talked about non-verbal expression and how it is helpful in understanding a patient.

DAY 2

Dr. Prasad took up the morning session. He highlighted how when the mind is functioning, creating new words, new theories, new combinations, it goes on speculating, it doesn’t allow you a single gap, a single interval to look at what is.

With the help of a ‘visual case’ (complete with series of follow-ups) he demonstrated how ‘IN SILENCE WE COMMUNICATE’.

In the following session Dr. Falguni presented on ‘auditory case’ with a series of follow-ups illustrating and stressing the importance of ‘LISTENING’ to the patient.

In this seminar we have shared with the participants the importance and the meaning of ‘silence’, the meaning of ‘language’ and the understanding of ‘visual’, ‘auditory’ and kinesthetic language of the patient.

The note “that to be a homoeopath in true sense one cannot ignore ‘ORGANON’ and how little we know as well as so much is left to be explored in this treasure filled book concluded the seminar”.
